Profhilo®

  • Profhilo® is an innovative product aimed at counteracting the physiological reduction of hyaluronic acid in the skin, restoring hydration, elasticity and tone of the skin. When injected, Profhilo® not only boosts hydration of the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging skin. 

    Most commonly treated areas include the face, neck and décolletage, although hands, arms, knees and abdomen may also be treated.

  • During a Profhilo® treatment, ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is injected into the area, which in turn, attracts water into the deeper layers of the skin and stimulates collagen and elastin. This results in significant improvement of tissue quality, subsequently causing a tightening and lifting effect, whilst simultaneously reducing the signs of ageing, such as fine lines and wrinkles, skin imperfections, scarring and dullness.

    When treating the face, five points of injection are repeated either side.

  • Profhilo® significantly reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and skin indentations leaving behind a plump and luminous complexion. It is the perfect treatment to minimise signs of ageing, improve smokers lines, correct skin laxity, restore lost volume and brighten dull and dehydrated skin.  

  • Unfortunately, not all treatments are suitable for all. Please check if any of the following contraindications apply:

    • Pregnant or breastfeeding

    • Active infection near the site of injection

    • Active acne

    • Known allergy or hypersensitivity to the product

    • Bleeding disorders

    • Immunodeficiency

    • Silicone implant near the site of injection

  • After a Profhilo® treatment, the following side effects may be experienced:

    • Itching at the site of injection

    • Sensation of heat

    • Swelling

    • Infection 

    • Local hypersensitivity

  • Treatments are most effective when completed twice over two sessions spread one month apart. Noticeable results occur within 7 days, with subsequent top ups recommended at six-month intervals.

  • In order to maintain skin health after Profhilo®, please follow the after care advice.

    • Resume your regular skin care routine 24 hours after treatment

    • Use hyaluronic acid serum

    • Wear sun protection daily

    • Stay hydrated

    • Allow 8 weeks after the initial treatment for full effects

    Things to avoid:

    • Makeup on the day of treatment

    • Alcohol, caffeine and hot drinks for 24 hours

    • Excessive heat for 3 days, such as heavy workouts, saunas, steam rooms and tanning

    • Significant movement of massage of the treated area for 7 days

    • Facial treatments, anti-wrinkle treatment or dermal fillers for 2 weeks
